As a graphic designer by trade, Lainymade was born out of my love of digital creation and also the art of making. Each piece is designed on computer, lasercut, naturally oiled, hand painted & hand assembled.
Quaint & lighthearted in style, Lainymade wishes to honour the casual and fleeting moments of recognition between friends, family and lovers. It is intended to be gifted and the pieces are conciously affordable to inspire this exchange.

in beautiful Queenstown
I was lucky enough to both make and sell my work in beautiful Queenstown, New Zealand for several years. Over looking Lake Wakatipu I developed my style as a permanent stall holder at Queenstown Craft Market. Originally from Ireland, I met my now partner from Whaley Bridge over there and in due course we relocated back to the Peak District, UK to be closer to family.

(nickname) 'Lainy' is my nickname, coined by my mother, circa 1989. It originally derived from my initial verbal attempts to refer to myself and pronounce my birth name ‘Lorraine’.
